This weekend the Maritime IKD hosted Shuseki Shihan Frank Woon-A-Tai. Members of the Mount A dojo tested and were promoted to new belt levels including Dale Sherwood who was promoted to 1st Degree Black Belt.

The Schedule for the Maritime IKD Fall clinic was officially released today.
The Mount Allison Karate club will be hosting a free self defense class and karate demo on November 3. The class and demo will take place from 12-2pm in Tweedie Hall. If you are interested in attending, please email the club at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Maritime IKD will host the Fall clinic in Moncton, NB at Ecole le Sommet on Nov 30 & Dec 1.

During the Maritime IKD Summer Clinic, Merrik Tower of the Mount Allison Shotokan Karate club was promoted to the rank of 3rd Kyu (brown belt). Merrik spent several weeks training in Amherst with Shihan David Pyke to prepare for this test after the MTA club closed for the Summer break.
The annual IKD World Honbu Camp takes place in Haliburton, ON., every June. Sensei Norm and Jolene Robitza attended the camp this year and each completed the technical portion for the C Level of the IKD Instructors program. The camp focus this year was preparing for the IKD World Cup and celebrating Shihan Woon-A-Tai’s 50th anniversary as an Instructor.
