MEET THE INSTRUCTORS

Sensei Norm Robitza, 5th Degree Black Belt

Sensei Norm Robitza has been training in Shotokan Karate since 1999. He has trained with many Karate Masters and has achieve the rank of 5th Degree Black Belt. He has been teaching karate at Mount Allison University since 2002.

 

Sensei Norm has competed both at Regional and National Karate Tournaments and is an official IKD International Judge and an official IKD Senior Provincial Instructor.

 

Sensei Norm has worked in the child care industry since he was a high school student. He has spent many years working as a teacher's assistant at Bright Beginnings Child Care Centre in Amherst. Currently, he works in the field of event security and private protection.

Sempai Jolene Robitza, 2nd Degree Black Belt

Sempai Jolene Robitza has been training since 2000. She has been the assistant instructor at the Mount Allison Shotokan Karate club since 2002. She has been preparing beginners for their first belt test for over a decade.

 

Sempai Jolene has competed at Regional tournaments and worked as a score keeper at the 2013 Canada Cup. Sempai Jolene is an official IKD Provincianl Referee and an official IKD Dojo Instructor.

Training Fees

$40 - for semester or $60 for two semesters (Minimum age: 10 years old)

Additional Fees

$40-$55 --- Uniform

$40 --- International Karate Daigaku Annual Membership

$50 --- Grading fee at end of session

Class Time

Mondays: 6-7pm

 

Wednesdays: 6-7pm

 

Saturdays: 12-1pm

 

Gradings - FALL: Late Nov/Early December | SPRING: Late March/Early April | SUMMER: Late June (if continue training in Amherst)
